CHARITY WORK

Boots & Paws

From Debbie Weaver:

I’m happy to share some heartwarming updates from our partnership with Guardian Revival’s Boots & Paws program. As you know, our sponsorship has enabled us to support first responders on their journey toward improved mental health and overall well-being – and we couldn’t be prouder of the results!

For example, Ryan’s new companion, Margaux, is thriving! She’s mastered everything from fetching and sitting to potty training, and she’s quickly become a beloved part of Ryan’s daily routine – earning the playful nickname “chunky monkey” along the way. Meanwhile, Joseph’s buddy, Pluto, is all about calm vibes and cuddles. He even impressed at his recent grooming appointment with his sweet, well-mannered temperament.

Stories like these highlight how our corporate sponsorship is translating into tangible benefits for people who have served our nation. It’s a powerful reminder that through strategic partnerships like these, Lexitas continues to contribute positively to our broader communities.

Thank you for supporting the values and initiatives that define who we are as a company. Together, we are making a positive impact and reinforcing our commitment to the well-being and recovery of deserving people who need a little lift.

Guardian Revival Visit

From Debbie Weaver: On Friday, I joined our CEO, Nishat Mehta, along with Lexitas team members Jennifer Caroccia and Joann Coviello, at the Midtown Madness firehouse (Engine 1, Ladder 24) to present this year’s contribution to Guardian Revival – a nonprofit organization we’ve partnered with for three years now. They do incredible work supporting the mental health and overall well-being of veterans and first responders through a range of programs, including outdoor adventure trips, creative therapies like music and art, peer support, and – of course – their Boots & Paws companion dog initiative.

This year, Lexitas contributed $75,000 to help fund that work – something we’re proud to support.

We were joined by Guardian Revival founder Alex Othmer, team member Kevin Murphy, and Bear, a therapy dog in training (and a very good boy!). The firefighters gave us a tour of the station and shared lunch with us, reminding us just how important it is to stay connected to the people and communities we serve. Being with first responders on Memorial Day weekend made the visit especially meaningful.

Thanks to those of you whose support and engagement make this kind of partnership possible. It was a good day – and a great reminder of the impact we can have together.

Guardian Revival One Mile Challenge

From Debbie Weaver: I just wanted to give you a quick update on the Guardian Revival One Mile Challenge: We’ve already filled our first 50 sign-up spots, which is great news! Big thanks to everyone who has signed up so far.

If you’re new to the One Mile Challenge, this is a virtual event hosted by Guardian Revival – one of Lexitas’ biggest philanthropic partners. It’s all about raising awareness and support for veteran and first responder mental health through programs like companion dogs training and placement, peer support, and family outreach.

If you haven’t signed up yet, there’s still time to join! The challenge is simple: walk, run, or roll one mile every day in September. You can do it on your own or team up with colleagues. It’s low-pressure, easy to track, and supports a cause that matters and makes a real difference.

Guardian Revival is asking everyone to register by August 15th so they can get everything set before the challenge kicks off on September 1st. You can sign up and learn more about the event here.
