CORPORATE offices

Onto the Next Journey

Earlier this year, Debbie Weaver announced her retirement:

“Dear Colleagues, I wanted to take a moment to personally share that I will be retiring from Lexitas at the end of this year.  I have attached a letter with more details and reflections.  Working with all of you has been one of the greatest highlights of my career.  I will carry the memories, lessons, and relationships with me into this next chapter.”

Helping Others Land Safely

Recently, the Houston and corporate office came together to create donation bags for a local shelter.

Read more, as written by Debbie Weaver:

I spent most of last week in Houston, and it was one of those stretches that reminds me why our work outside the deposition room, courtroom, and conference room matters just as much as what happens inside. Many of the activities were tied to The Landing – an organization Lexitas has proudly supported for several years – and I wanted to share a quick look at what your partnership made possible.

Last Wednesday, our Houston team assembled more than 500 care packs for clients of The Landing – survivors of human trafficking and sexual abuse. These bags go to people at some of the most vulnerable moments in their recovery, and while they may seem small, they send a clear message: someone sees you, and you’re not alone. Our colleagues in Houston showed up with compassion and efficiency, and I couldn’t have been prouder of the turnout.

During the trip, Cheryl Ormston and I also delivered Lexitas’ annual contribution of $30,000 to The Landing and helped serve lunch at their daytime drop-in center. The staff there – people like Lisa Bourgoyne (CEO), Mindy LeBlanc (Chief Development Officer), and Lea Byrd (Mobilization Manager) – do life-changing work every day, creating a place where survivors can find rest, counseling, resources, and a path forward. Lea reached out afterward to say how much it meant that we not only give financially, but also make the effort to be present in person. She told me more than once that our willingness to show up and engage with their clients speaks volumes.

We ended the week at The Landing’s Brighter than Gold gala at Hotel ZaZa. It was an evening filled with stories of courage and healing, and it reaffirmed why our support matters – not just in Houston, but in every community where survivors deserve safety and hope.

I wanted to share all of this with you – not because these events happened in one city, but because the impact belongs to all of us. The Landing’s leadership made a point to say that Lexitas’ involvement feels personal, not transactional, and that is because of the reputation our people have built nationally. Whether you’re in Houston, St. Louis, Chicago, Miami, New York, Denver, or anywhere else, your work and your heart make partnerships like this possible.

Going the Extra Mile

Throughout September, Lexitas employees across the country laced up their sneakers (and in many cases, leashed up their dogs!) to walk, run, or roll one mile a day in support of veterans, first responders, and their families. It was inspiring to see so many of the people who joined in sharing your photos and keeping each other motivated.

This year’s challenge was a big success across the board:

  • 1,031 participants from 33 states

  • 78 teams

  • Over 30,000 miles logged

  • $227,000 raised to fund Guardian Revival’s mental health and wellness programs

I’m especially proud that Lexitas increased our participation this year, showing once again how deeply our team cares about strengthening the communities we serve. Between Lexitas covering entry costs and the fundraising efforts of our employees, our collective contribution totaled nearly $10,000 – an incredible show of generosity and teamwork.

Every mile, every donation, and every bit of encouragement makes a real difference for the veterans and first responders who have given so much to all of us.

Thank you to everyone who took part, donated, or cheered others on. You’ve made Lexitas proud – and you’ve made a real impact.

Walk for Freedom

From Marisa Mckine: “On November 1st, my husband, Zeke Mckine, Sr., represented his organization, The Flite Center, and was a panelist for the A21 Global Walk for Freedom Summit. It’s the largest walk against labor and sex trafficking. After the presentations, all vendors, and attendees, including high school students from all over central Florida, walked in solidarity to show their support for survivors of human trafficking.”

Lexitas, a leading provider of technology-enabled litigation services, is pleased to announce the national rollout of its award-winning, powerful case tracking tool, eLaw®. eLaw® has been ranked as the best docketing and calendaring platform for 15 consecutive years by the New York Law Journal.

More than 100,000 legal professionals and law firms already use eLaw®, the best-in-class, searchable, web-based docketing and calendaring SaaS solution. It previously was available only for New York and New Jersey trial courts, U.S. district courts, and Florida circuit courts. Now, the legal tech software is available to legal professionals in 39 states, equipping them to monitor and manage all active, docketed, and court calendars.

“eLaw® has revolutionized case tracking over the past 24 years, and we are excited to bring this major time and cost-saving technology to other jurisdictions across the country,” said eLaw President, Dominick Esposito. “This software gives lawyers and paralegals easy access to all court data, allowing them to focus on essential strategy rather than tedious chores. We are certain that nationwide access will significantly streamline operations at law firms of all sizes.”

A robust, searchable, web-based docketing and calendaring SaaS solution, eLaw® allows users to find their case and create alerts to be sent directly to them when any new updates are made to a selected case. The alerts also can be synchronized with calendars and case management systems, ensuring that legal professionals never miss an appearance or a deadline.

eLaw® can be configured to sync with nearly any case management system. It currently integrates seamlessly with more than 8 different platforms as well as Outlook® and Google Calendar™. This personalized court calendar is one of the key features of eLaw®.
